Atiqa Victoria ::MEREKA DAN TUTORIALS::

Adui, sekarang ni kalau buka je mana-mana Malaysian blogs expecially blog yang milik gegadis, kebanyakannya berkisarkan shawl tutorial dan make up tutorial je. Bohsan weyh!! Maklumlah, aku ni kurang sangat minatnya pada shawl. Beli tu beli la tapi takde lah sampai dok buat tutorial sendiri then masukkan kat dalam Youtube.

Adakah gadis-gadis Malaysia sekarang hanya ada 1. Shawl chantek-chantek, kaler-kaler, liplap-lap, macam-macam style 2. Make Up berapa inci punya tebal dalam kepala ho ho hotak mereka berbanding dengan perkara-perkara lain yang lebih mustahak dalam hidup ni? I wonder why. I'm one of the follower untuk trend terkini and fashion terkini but I'm not turning my interest into some kind of obsession. Nampak sangat tak cool pada pandangan mata saya. But, this is only my opinion. Orang lain ada pandangan tersendiri kan. Malas nak condemn, takut jadi kat diri sendiri. Hehehe. Tau pun takut.

But untuk those yang rajin study pasal shawl and make up, then rajin pula shoot diri sendiri cakap depan web cam, tutor orang lain on how to do this and that, korang memang baik hati lah sebab ikhlas buat semua ni demi harapan nak tolong orang lain jadi cantik macam korang. Kannnnn. Hope ada yang tak sentaplah yeeeeee. Weeeeeeee

Atiqa Victoria ::MASA YANG SESUAI UNTUK MINUM AIR::

  • Minum dua  gelas (2) air masak – SELEPAS BANGUN DARI TIDUR. Ianya akan membantu mengaktifkan organ dalaman.
  •  Minum  segelas (1)  air masak-  30 MINIT SEBELUM MAKAN .
  • Minum segelas (1) air masak - SEBELUM MANDI.
  • Minum segelas (1) air masak- SEBELUM TIDUR.

Atiqa Victoria ::DEMAM::

Dah 6 hari dah aku tak sihat. OMGEEEE. I’m dying here on my bed. Semuanya gara-gara bersahur minum air gas kat MCD. Then started to rasa sakit tekak yang teramat.      Bila dah sakit tekak, faham-fahamlah. Batuk pula menyusul diikuti dengan selesema. 2 hari lepas tu terus badan panas dan demam 2 hari!

Owh, sakit gila bila demam masa bulan puasa ni. Nak makan ubat pun sayang sebab puasa. Bukan apa, nak ganti puasa tu nanti, bukan senang. Dapat kat aku memang malaslah nak puasa ganti ni sebab panas. Tak tahan. So terpaksalah aku berpuasa juga walaupun tak sihat. Lepas demam dah kebah, batuk pulak menjadi-jadi. Dengan kahak lagi. Euwwwwwwww! Sangat tak tahan bila time batuk tu, rasa nak tercabut je tekak ni. Jantung pula rasa nak gugur je.

Konon bila demam dah kebah bolehlah nak pergi shopping raya. Baju raya pun tak beli lagi ni. Lagi seminggu dah nak raya. Al-kisahnya, bila hari Sabtu kat Jalan TAR tu memang crowded la. Aku tak payah jalan. Orang tolak je. Hehehe. Agaknya bila dah bersesak-sesak kat tempat macam tu, badan aku tak tahan. Apa lagi terbatuk-batuk sampai muntahlah kat Jalan TAR tu. Buat tanda tu. Jadi, shopping ke mana, baju raya ke mana. Pukul 12 terus aku balik rumah. Tak sanggup aku nak bersakit-sakit kat Jalan TAR tu. Nanti dah agak sihat aku nak ajak Pak Cik Arshad atau Cik Eqin teman aku usha jubah untuk hari raya ni. Peace.

Sahur tadi dengan berseleranya aku makan ayam KFC seketul dengan nugget berketul-berketul. Dah berapa hari dah aku takde selera makan. Alhamdulillah, hari ni dah mampu melantak dengan banyak. Hehehe. Doakan semoga aku cepat sihat ya sebab aku teringin nak makan Kenny Rogers ni..:)

Ubat-ubat yang aku makan sampai aku rasa bulan puasa ni aku makan ubat lagi banyak dari makan nasi. Ada ubat batuk- Prospan(Dried Ivy Leaf), ubat cair kahak- Mucosolvan, selesema- Loratadine (tak mengantuk), Piriton-mengantok, PCM- demam, Ponstan- sakit kepala.

Atiqa Victoria ::PREJUDICE::

A prejudice is a judgement or opinion formed before the facts are known. We all have our own prejudice and bias about people, things or events. It is this prejudice which will hinder us from being open-minded. We must be very careful that our preconceived ideas do not disregard facts or truth of the real issue. Our logical reasoning may go astray when we are prejudiced for or prejudiced againts.

When we are prejudiced for, we are inclined to favour a person or thing because of strong fondness or attachment; we may disregard facts that contradict the real issue. In this manner, when we are prejudiced againts, we let our emotions of suspicion, fear, intolerance, hatred, dislike and lake of knowledge about the issue bias our logical reasoning.

To be an open-minded person, we should know our own prejudice and bias in daily affairs, politics, race and religion, so that we can consciously control ourselves to be open-minded to look for the real facts and the truth of the matter, as shown in the following examples.

Example I:

Prejudice for

Rose is a good worker. She can tackle this new technical job.
This statement is biased for Rose because the boss knows that she is a good worker. The boss assumes that Rose, being a good worker will automatically qualify her to do the new technical job without (a) first asking Rose whether she can do the job; or (b) training in the new technology for the job.

Example II:

Prejudiced againts
.
John is useless. He cannot do a thing
This statement is biased againts John. No one is absolutely useless or cannot do a thing.

THE PLAIN JANE PREJUDICE

1. Researchers have found that personnel managers tend to select good-looking men or women for jobs. A spokesman from British Institute of Psychiatry says, “One firm shortlisted two girls, one who was intelligent but lacked perseverance, the other not very intelligent but hard working. Guess who got the job? The good-looking one who came first.”

2. “If a manager is looking for a secretary he will probably pick her more for her looks than qualifications, in the same way that he picks his wife, not for her cooking, but her beauty.”

3. But there are employers who discriminate againts a pretty girl for a top job because they believe she will be more interested in her social life than her career.

4. Worse, teachers are also prejudiced. When the children’s report was supposed to belong to a pretty child, they guessed he or she had a higher IQ and would do better at school than a plain child with the same report.

5. Sadly, we are more willing to to help accident victims if they are good lookers. Someone set up an experiment which actors pretended to collapse on train, it took more than hour for someone to help her- because of her ‘plain’ appearance.

6. Why we are so biased in favour of attractive persons? It’s believed we have a stereotyped idea of what these people are like. We imagined good-lookers are friendly, intelligent, confident and kind.

7.  Beauty’s advantages fade with age. Dr. Ellen Berscheid, who studied the happiness of middle age, found women who had been beautiful when young were not so happy as those who had been plain.

8. So at least many Plain Janes can look forward to late blossoming.

Atiqa Victoria ::THE EXPERIENCE THAT I COULD NEVER FORGET::

   There were many reasons why I always looked forward to the end of every year, especially the long year-end holidays. The difference activities that took place during this period often cheerished memories to me and there were the experiences that I could never forget.

   What I like the most about the end of every year is that we enjoyed a break of almost two months from school. After a long, hectic and stressful year of studying, revising and sitting for monthly tests and examinations, we had the luxury of blissful days without having to worry about homework and classes to attend. These were the idle days which will be spent hanging out with friends and family. So, last last year my family and I had a glorious vacation in Malacca.

   Malacca used to be known as Sleepy Hollow not so long ago but it is no longer the small town that drivers used to whizz through on their way to more exciting destinations elsewhere. That was the reason why my famlily chosed  Malacca as our destination of vacation. We went there by car and the journey took about one and half hour. We checked in at Hotel Seri Malaysia and we were stunned for a while to see the room provided to us. It was freaking awesome! My brothers and I could not wait to swim and jump into the pool as we were fascinated with it.

   Malacca had many of the amenties of a city because of its importance as a historical centre. We started our vacation by exploring the various museums here. My father were very interested in histoty of Malacca so he took notes and pictures to be shown to his collegoues and friends in Kuala Lumpur. My little sister was really eager to know so many things about Malacca and its founder as she asked my family about it. We  referred to the information stated in the museums to answer her questions as we noticed that we were lack of knowledge about Malacca and its history. From the visit, we gained knowledge and enriched our general knowledge.

   I personally thought Malacca an attractive place to go. Granted that our capital Kuala Lumpur boasts the biggest shopping mall, the highest flag pole and the tallest tower in Malaysia, but I was contented with what Malacca had to offer. We went to a small village in Kelebang to see how the people there lived. They made their own ‘belacan’ and sold them from house to house. Sometimes they sold the ‘belacan’ at the nearby market. We managed to experience the hardship of making ‘belacan’ ourselves. It was tiring yet exciting work to be done. My mother bought a lof of ‘belacan’ to be given to my aunties, friends and neighbours.
She bought them like nobody bussiness!

   Lastly, Malacca had lots to offer the tourist- impressive golf courses, modern theme parks, a wonderful library, a marvellous zoo and a huge recreation and exposition centre. We went to Zoo Malacca and it was a very informative and fun visit as we got so many informations about animals and how their lived in their own habitats. We were even given chance to feed the elephant! What an experience! We also went to the derelict remains of Portuguese power, the A Famosa, and point out the vividly red Stadhuys, and we learnt that ‘this is where it all began’.

   I must confessed that I was never bored living here! It was the best vacation that I would never forget in my life. The memories captured by the camera lens were only the pieces of experiences I learnt from the vacation. With no doubt, I believe that this was the experience that I could never forget.

Note: This essay is written by one of my students, Nabila Huda. Her story did not manage to attract my attention to keep reading the whole essay, but I was amazed by her writing skill.
